I want to help you realize that wellspring in yourself as much as possible during this course so the first half of each day will be set aside specifically for journeying. I will introduce you to my Trifold Approach to Inner Journeying, a transmission of the essentials you'll need to continue piercing the veil with the practice on your own. I'll also help you discover your own Alchemical Memory Palace within the realms of your imagination, giving you insight into how to further sensually train spatial memory and intuitively consolidate ideas. At the end you will journey into your own painting, exploring its subtle development and the spaces and imagery that unfold within it.

The session I will be leading is an introduction to Inner Journeying using the Trifold Approach and combining this approach with the creation of one's own Alchemical Memory Palace within the imagination. The Trifold Approach to Inner Journeying is a three-step process which includes visualization and using your other inner senses to travel within your own imaginal spaces. With it, you can learn to perceive, recognize and decrypt your own personal symbolic language as you intuit the meanings of the things that you encounter in those spaces. You can also use Inner Journeying as part of the basis of dialoguing with spiritual guides.

Over the course of 5 weeks, Kevin Campeau will guide you through the creation of one large work (60 x 80cm) and one small work (30 x 40cm). Centering on the theme of ‘The Vehicle of the Will’, you will acquire a series of practices, from Inner Journeying to Automatic Drawing, to develop the initial ideas, then draw them as fully-fledged compositions on toned paper, and paint them on canvas in acrylic and oil.

I'll be giving another two weekend workshop here in Vienna in October - Stargazer! I will begin by teaching you the Trifold Approach to Inner Journeying - a way of activating your inner senses to connect with your Inner Cosmos and Spirit Allies. I will also teach you specific acrylic painting techniques to help you depict your own visions and ideas clearly, offering plenty of guidance along the way. Finally I'll go one step further and show you how to discover and build upon your own Alchemical Memory Palace using Inner Journeying to help broaden your creative scope

Kevin Campeau will share his extensive experience in Inner Journeying to accompany you in the evolution and depiction of your interior world. Through a series of exercises, both in nature & in the studio, you will learn to combine Automatic Drawing and Writing, to meet your inner guide – a figure who will lead you deeper into your own creative process. Through random swirls of acrylic paint you will bring forth & refine elemental realms (some fiery or watery, others telluric or ethereal) as a natural setting for your composition. Demonstrating the application of oils over acrylics, you will learn how to refine the figure and elaborate your own visionary realm.

'Ars Memoriae - Painting your Inner Cosmos' was such a beautiful workshop. I am ever thankful to my students Ivy, Gautam, Nick and Daniele for joining me to create this opportunity to share and learn deeply about painting and about Inner Journeying.

I am so thankful to my students who dedicated this time to expanding their knowledge and practice of painting as well as of Inner Journeying. It's a wrap on 'The Alchemist's Guide - Prima Materia' painting workshop! Here is everyone last night at the very end with their alchemical portrait paintings. Thanks to Angelika, Michael, Janine and Cory for bringing the creative fire through over our four days together. It was a great time!!!

This will be the second workshop in the Alchemist's Guide Workshop Series and will be in the form of an intensive focused on developing a painting in acrylics. Students will learn how to create the imprimatura, or base layer, applying it to create a dynamic background. From here they will step into beginning the underpainting with highlights and shadows from a mid tone. They will further learn about colour glazing and add layers of refinement to their piece to bring it to resolution. During this process I will teach my 'glasslike' Vitreous Technique, a way of creating fluid glasslike and gemlike effects.

Join me for 5 days of focused creative and alchemical exploration. Learn my Trifold Approach to Inner Journeying and open to sensitively connecting with your inner realms and inner guidance. Extend into Automatic Drawing, developing a composition based on your journey, and arrive to learning my 'glasslike' Vitreous Technique to distill and paint it in subtle layers in acrylic.

I'm blessed and so happy to be a teacher this year. I traveled from Canada in 2012 to take part in the seminar as a student. The life-changing experience I had there that summer helped me grow deeply as a person and as an artist. It was the launching pad for what would turn into me moving to Vienna and completing the 3 year graduate programme at the academy.
